Kuwait Maritime Museum

Kuwait Maritime Museum

It is part of the Sharqia School which is located in East of Kuwait City. It was opened to the public for the first time since the completion of its renovation on January 10, 2010 after the Kuwait National Council for Culture, Arts & Literature had renovated the southern building of the school.

The museum reflects Kuwait's heritage that is embedded within the Arabian Gulf through the collective memories of generations of seafarers and divers. It shows samples and photos of sailing vessels and equipments used in fishing and pearling.

In front of the museum, the visitor sees huge wood ships talking about the craft Kuwait had improved long time ago in the marine life.
