Bait Al Bader

It was established in 1837 under the supervision of Kuwait National Council for Culture, Arts & Literature. In 1968, the National Museum of Kuwait became the owner of this old house which was previously a dwelling place of the Al-Bader family.
 
It's considered one of the remarkable tourist sites that reflects Kuwait's architectural. This 19th century structure highlights the social, cultural, and economic life in Kuwait since the date it has been built. It is located between the Al-Sadu house and the National Museum of Kuwait. 
 
Clay, white cements, and coral stones were used to build this abode. It consists of five opened courtyards:  men reception courtyard ( housh al diwanyya), women courtyard( housh al harim), kitchen courtyard ( housh al matbakh), animals courtyard (housh al ghanam), and storing courtyard (housh al amarah). It also has wind towers which are used for ventilation and cooling of the building during Summer.
